The snow is here, in fact it is a bumper season! Over a metre at most resorts. Been away every weekend racing. The last weekend's nationals 30km was a slog. Most of the guys went on hairies as the conditions were so difficult to wax for. I had reasonable grip considering on my zeros' but they were DOG slow and I lost contact on the first downhill. Skied alone the rest of the way and struggled into 10th place after a few pull outs.
Three weeks to go until New Zealand when the best chance for world champs FIS points will be. Need to focus on the 10km skate as this is the only event I am likely to ski the qualifying points in. More updates soon.
