XC Ottawa's Carleton University skiers are likely to be dominating the Ontario University series of races, which takes them to North Bay, Sudbury, with the final OUA Championships taking place in Haliburton, ON on Feb 21-22.

Alana Thomas will be traveling the farthest, representing Canada in the 2009 edition of the World University Games (University Games are held every 2 years) to be held in Harbin, China February 18-28. Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang province in the northeast of China, known for its long winters and short summers.

As usual, the final major event of the season for most of the team will be the Canadian Cross Country Ski Championships , which will take place at Highlands Nordic (Duntroon, ON), March 8-15th.

We will keep you posted!
