The Canadian Ski Marathon and the Gatineau Loppets are over and we have five skiers who have accomplished the Canadian Triple Ski Challenge of completing all 160 km of the CSM, and both Gatineau 53 km classic and 53km skate races, over the two consecutive weekends. They are:
- Dana Mersich of Ottawa (she also accomplished the Triple in 2008)
- Gilbert Briscoe of Sudbury, ON
- Eric Grim of NY, USA
- Carl Johnston of NY, USA
- Jason Urckfitz of NY, USA
Not only did these skiers complete the distance, more than one of you did so with category top three and overall top ten and twenty results in the races. You know who you are :-) Totally, awesomely inspiring. Who would have thought of the CSM as a taper strategy for the Gatineau Loppet, eh? :-)
