P8-Mica available for rollerskiing during the week starting this Tuesday

This to inform everyone that for the month of October the Tuesday and Thursday night parkway closures will allow rollerskiers to use the North Loop and P8 to Mica. It is a pilot project from the NCC for the possible expansion of the parkway closures next year. During the week it will not be essential to have a volunteer standing at Mica however it is preferable that people pass occasionally.
As always, the weeknight closures are assured by Chelsea Nordiq, John Fahey notably, and will occur from 17:00 to 19:30. Because of the added complexity of closing off P8 to Mica, this part of the parkway may end up being ready for use shortly after 17:00. Please use the facilities as good participation will most probably allow us to maintain this arrangement next summer and fall. One last note, in the event where the weather does not cooperate by sending us large amounts of rain, I will leave the people closing the parkway decide whether or not to close the P8 to Mica stretch.
