After months of dryland training, some XC Ottawa skiers will finally be getting on snow and putting on race bibs in the next few days.
The racing starts for Karl and Megan this weekend, who are out in Canmore and will be racing two Alberta Cup Races December 5 and 6.

They'll head out to Silverstar after that, where they'll be joined by Sheila and Colin to compete in the NorAm Cup/Olympic distance trials races at Sovereign Lakes (skate sprint and 10k/15k skate).

Then it's back to Canmore for the following weekend, where they'll be joined by Alana to race at the NorAm Cup/Olympic sprint and 30km trials races. Two sprint classic races on Dec 19 and 20 (same race course 2 days in a row!), and a 30k/50k classic race on December 22.

Then it's time for a Christmas break and fun for some at Nakkertok's infamous Boxing Day Burnoff.

Then the entire XC Ottawa team will race at the NorAm Cup/World U23 Championship Trials in Val Cartier, Quebec, Jan. 2-5.
