SkiTrails.XCOttawa.ca - New Ski Trail Conditions Reporting Site!

Since 2005 XC Ottawa has been posting regualr Gatineau Park trail reports on-line. (Checkout those historic reports and some stats.) These reports have earned much acclaim, and skiers often tell us they rely on them for an accurate account of the current state of the trails. The problem is that the team has only 10 members, who often ski together on a limited selection of trails and who often leave town to race, thus we can't always provide perfect service.

To fix this problem I've setup a new website - skitrails.xcottawa.ca, for user submitted trail reports. It aims to answer only one question:

"What is the skiing like today?"

Best of all we've expanded the scope to include not just the Gatineau Park, but Nakkertok, Mooney's Bay, Kanata and the Green Belt ski trials.You can also spread the word of the conditions on your blog using our RSS feeds - see GuideGatineau.ca

Reports are currently being submitted by Team XC Ottawa skiers and a few volunteers. If you would like to contribute reports, (all you need to do is fill out an online form) then send us an email - info@xcottawa.ca. We're especially looking for adventurous skiers who frequent the less trafficked areas - Mooney's Bay, the Green Belt, Nakkertok and Kanata's River Front Park.
