Snow, snow, snow!

We are getting snow just in time for the Hans Weber Nakkerloppet and its smaller brother, the mini. This year the Hans Weber Nakkerloppet will have a much more interesting course than last year’s edition. Participants will be bused to the shores of beautiful Lundy Lake in the middle kingdom. From there, they will loppet to Lamoureux swamp and then off to Dave Wilson’s farm, returning via the same swamp and finishing up at the Ski Barn, Nakkertok South, where there will be warm drinks and nourishing food. Bring your own mug and plate! Door prizes for green compliance.

Please join us for this loppet event of the season.

Check the Nakkerloppet Page for the latest updates.

The registration deadline is Feb 24 at 23:59 EST. Registration is through Zone 4 only.

Celebrate the spirit of one of Nakkertok's founders by skiing with us in the regionıs premier back-country loppet. Choose from two classic-style loppets, both open to Nakkertok members and non-members alike:

Hans Weber Nakkerloppet

Participants in the Hans Weber Nakkerloppet will ski a continuous 25 K single track trail that joins Nakkertok North to Nakkertok South through some of the regionıs best and most exciting trails! This event will be untimed and is suitable for experienced and intermediate skiers. We shuttle you from the parking lot at Nakkertok South (Cantley, Quebec) to Nakkertok North (Val des Monts, Quebec) and you ski from north to south, approximately 25 K. When you return to Nakkertok South, we feed you!

There is a mid-way check point where you can refill your water bottle with Gatorade. First aid on the trail provided by the Canadian Ski Patrol. There will also be skiers sweeping the route. Please note that if you start the course, we expect you to complete the course, unless you are injured. You are responsible for your own food and water along the way. Intermediate skiers usually complete the 25 km ski in under 4 hours. If bad weather affects the snow pack, the organizers may start the loppet at Nakkertok South.

Hans Weber Mini-Loppet

For a taste of what else Nakkertok Nordic provides, come ski the 12.5K Hans Weber Mini-Loppet, on trails all accessible from Nakkertok South. These trails are regularly groomed to perfection by Dirk Van Wijk, Chief of Grooming for the 2010 Olympics. Skiers under 15 years of age are particularly encouraged to take part in the Mini-Loppet, but must be accompanied by an adult who is a registered participant in the race.

It is an untimed loppet on well-marked trails accessible from the Nakkertok South parking lot. The complete route of the Mini-Loppet is about 12.5 K. There will be no refreshments on the trails, so you must carry your own. There will be first aid along the way.
