Upcoming Coaching Courses for XC Skiing in Ottawa

 Greetings everyone,

 Please advise your coaching peers, post on your various web sites, facebook pages, etc the following CCO/NCD NCCP coaching courses.  For Nakkertok learn to Train and Train to Train coaches who have not taken the Learn To Train dryland course - please make every effort to take the one offered in October.  It is required. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me coachnakk@gmail.com  Course registration can be accessed (oh so soon) at:  http://www.xco.org/coaching/coachcourses.htm Or,   http://www.ncdski.org/  All registrations will be done through zone4.ca  CCO will absorb the online registration fee.

 LTT dryland Oct. 14 - 16, 2011 Ottawa/Nakkertok South facilitator: John Langstone 
 TTT on snow, sometime in January 2012 in Ottawa/Gatineau 
 L2T on snow, sometime in late 2011 or early 2012 

 Course fees for 2011/12: 
 ICC $80.00
 CC $100.00
 ICC/CC $180.00
 LTT Dryland $100.00
 LTT On Snow $100.00
 TTT Dryland $200.00
 TTT On Snow $200.00.

In the past, many clubs have supported their coaches by subsidizing the workshop fees. Please encourage the club presidents to consider such funding. Also, coaches at the LTT and TTT levels can apply for funding through their district as well as their club.(1/3 coach, 1/3 or more club, 1/3 district). The Coaching Association of Ontario (CAO) (http://www.coachesontario.ca) may have bursaries and travel subsidies available through the Quest for Gold (Q4G)funding opportunity. 

Please also review and forward the details of the New Mandatory Minimum Coaching Qualifications to the clubs you are contacting: To improve the minimum standard of coaching for developing athletes and better prepare our sport system to meet minimum coaching requirements at important competitions, new standards will come into effect in January 2012, and January 2014.  http://www.cccski.com/main.asp?cmd=doc&ID=6681&lan=0
