Hans Weber Nakkerloppet

Nakkertok hosted the Hans Weber Loppet (formerly The Nakkerloppet) this weekend on the most beautiful and exciting back country skiing trails locally available. Participants skied 25 km of groomed single track through the bush from Vals des Monts (North Nakkertok) to Cantley (South Nakkertok). After a few magnificent hours in the sunshine on peerless trails, they enjoyed homemade chili and treats. If you missed out this year, look for it to be offered again. It's an annual favourite and this year's loppet was one of the best organized events around.

More opportunities to ski Nakkertok North! With the incredible new snow and more on the way, there are still opportunities to enjoy these trails.

Thea's Race, March 4

Thea's Race, also an annual Nakkertok favourite, features Recreational, Masters and NCD points races. It will be held on some of the same trails that were part of the Hans Weber Loppet.

Thea's Race commemorates the contribution made to Nakkertok and women’s sports by Thea Holloway, a founding member and past-president of the club. The race has been held annually since 1995 at Nakkertok North on trails set on land purchased jointly by Thea and Meg Weber and is open to men and women of all categories from Atom to Masters. Two trophies have been provided by the Holloway family, one to be presented to the fastest woman skiing 12km and the second to the fastest woman skiing 8 km.

Don't miss Thea's race!  Find out more and sign-up.  (Feb. 29th registration deadline!)

The daily day use fee for non-members is $10 payable at the cash box at the trail head at the parking lot.
