The opportunity to race a professionally organized, world-cup calibre urban sprint course rarely happens in Ottawa, or anywhere else for that matter. Dirk Van Wijk of Nakkertok carved out a fast, technical course at Jacques-Cartier park in Gatineau. Racers from XCOttawa, Carleton, Nakkertok, Skinouk and Chelsea showed up to put test it out.
On the women's side, Megan, Kyla and Ingrid all made the A final. The men also put three in the final with Andre, Steffan and Colin duking it out for the top spot.
Here are some great pictures courtesy of Bernard Pigeon:

It was a great day of racing and cool experience to check out a world cup course. Can't wait to see this repeat with the top guns next year!
