The NCC is reporting nearly 30cm of base at P8, and the trail network is in pristine shape - flat wide and ready for skiers! The weekend weather also looks to be cooperating for the most part too.
Saturday Classic races
Clear and a very cold -25C overnight Friday. Saturday's forecast is for light snow and highs of -6C. But that overnight low still means a lot of the classic race Saturday morning will be chilly, but the waxing will be easy. (Watch Gatineau Loppet Website for race delays.)

AT Binder, 2 layers of K15 underfoot, as many full layers of K19 as required and a cover of K21.Sunday Skate races
There maybe some fresh snow, and overnight low is fairly warm at -7C in Chelsea. Expect that to be colder in the dark recesses of the park (minimum might be more like -10C or -15C?) The high for Sunday is -1C, but the race will be long over before that is reached. Most of the race will occur with air around -5C and the snow will be -5C or colder.
Don't wax or structure too warm just because the forecast high is -1C!Glide:
