Question: How has your season progressed up to this point? Have you been happy with the way things have gone? What were the highlights of you season?

Answer: My season has been great. I got the opportunity to race for Canada at the World Junior Championships in Slovenia. It was a huge learning experience and it was interesting to see how much more popular skiing is in Europe.

Question: What are your plans for next season? Do you have any specific training or competition goals for the spring/summer, and for next winter?

Answer: My goal for this upcoming season is to make NTDC Thunder Bay.

Question: Are you going to Nationals this year? Do you enjoy racing at Nationals, and if so, why?

Answer: I am going to Nationals and I love it every year. I think it is my favourite races of the year because it is highly competitive, but you get to stay with your home team, and I love my team.

Question: What are your goals for Nationals? What race will you focus on at Nationals, and why?

Answer: I am just hoping to have a good time and finish my season off on a good note. I won’t focus on one particular race.

Question: What was your favourite National Championships you’ve ever been to? Why?

Answer: Canmore. I think I loved Canmore nationals because it was my first big race, it was at an Olympic venue, and there was no pressure. No one knew who I was so all I had to do was race my own races. There was no one who wanted splits off of me or anything.

Question: Do you like Lappe Nordic Centre (host of this year’s Nationals)? If so, why?

Answer: I love Lappe. I love the pancakes and the people. Thunder Bay is probably the friendliest ski community in Canada. They are going to do a great job.

Question: Who are your picks to win the following races:

Men’s Club Relay: Mount. Saint Anne

Women’s Club Relay: Porcupine

Men’s Sprint: Sean Crooks

Women’s Sprint: Dasha Gaiazova

Men’s 50k: ?

Women’s 30k: ?
