Location: Chelsea, Quebec, 12 minutes North of Ottawa Canada
Background:
The Chelsea Nordiq is the largest cross-country ski and biathlon club in Quebec. The Club has over 800 members and is based in Chelsea, Quebec. We have over 400 members registered in 6 programs from Bunnyrabbit up to Masters. Training takes place in the Gatineau Park. The National Capital Region has a population of 1.1 million people and has the largest concentration of nordic skiers in North America.
The Head Coach will guide all instructional and competitive activities for the club with specific emphasis on the Junior Racing program. All club programs are based on the Canadian "Long Term Athlete Development” model and NCCP technical and training methodology.
The Chelsea Nordiq Head Coach reports and is responsible directly to the club’s program committee and its chair.
Qualifications:
- NCCP Level 3 or Level 2 with a commitment to attain Level 3 within first year
- Advanced on-snow technique and fitness (see NCCP, CANSI)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Sport physiology background and high level racing/coaching experience are an advantage.
Term of Employment: Year round full-time
