XC Ottawa’s Kyle Power and Sheila Kealey couldn’t have asked for a better end to the JSXCRSC (John Suuronen’s XCOttawa Roller Ski Cup) season. Ten men and eleven women toed the line, and the battle was unrelenting from start to finish.
Two Saturday’s ago, XC Ottawa racers enjoyed (kind of?) a multidiscipline day of intensity consisting of a 5 to 10 km classic time trial, followed by a Bench Press competition in the afternoon. No that is not a typo, this year we’re getting strong!

Gavin, emerged as the leader of the Men’s Nordic Ski team that captured the program’s 3rd CCUNC/CIS Men’s National Title in the past seven years. He becomes the 3rd XCOttawa member after Megan and Eva to earn this honor. XCOttawa alumni Linnea Rudachyk earns the Graduating Female Athlete of the Year award.
